Lauren's Tanque Verde Guest Ranch Senior Session
Sometimes the sessions that come with a little bit of unpredictability end up being some of our favorites.
Lauren’s senior session was one of those days. The storm was threatening, the Arizona heat was definitely making its presence known, and we were keeping a close eye on the sky throughout the session. But through all of it, Lauren absolutely crushed it.
There’s something about photographing seniors in the middle of an Arizona summer. The light can change quickly, the clouds can roll in without much warning, and you never quite know what the weather is going to give you. Instead of letting the storm stop us, we embraced what was happening and made the most of every minute we had.
Lauren brought the perfect combination of confidence and personality to her session, and that always makes such a difference in senior portraits. From the more classic poses to the candid moments in between, she made everything look effortless.
And then there was that sky.
The storm clouds added so much drama to the images while giving us some beautiful, soft light. It was the perfect reminder that sometimes the conditions you didn't plan for can end up creating some of the most memorable photographs.
